With my obsession for documenting everything on Instagram taking over my life i thought it would be good idea to also start a The Haxby blog to document my life in not only pictures but in words. I love all things DIY and have a passion for interiors – the bane of my husbands life. I am also a first time mum. No one told me how hard being a parent would be, its tested me in ways i didn’t expect it too, but i wouldn’t change it for the world.
For those of you who don’t know me my name is Stacey and i live in the county of Lincolnshire. My husband and I married in 2015 and moved into our newly built home in March 2016. We have a daughter called Poppy who we struggled with IVF for. We had been trying for a baby for sometime before we realised it wasn’t going to happen. Three years, many hospital appointments, procedures and injections later we were successful with our first attempt at IVF. We also have a crazy cocker spaniel called Oscar and cat with a split personality called Freddie.
I graduated from University in 2011 and since then I have worked on a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. For the most part it is the most amazing and rewarding job but of course it comes with its difficulties. I am currently on maternity leave which is the most amazing experience of my life. Not only do i get to spend every day with Poppy but it has given me the opportunity to create The Haxby and allow it to blossom.
